I am a college student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and majoring in consumer, apparel and retail studies. My research question was something I had learned a little bit about in class and I was curious to find out more information about it. Since I want to work in the fashion industry in the future, possibly as a buyer or stylist, I think it is important to be knowledgeable about the subject and know how the products I buy could be affecting the environment. As a fashion major I obviously really love clothes but I am also very caring about the environment and do not want it to suffer due to fast fashion. I think that if we have the power and other options available to be more environmentally conscious then it should be taken advantage of.
